The aim of Africa Fashion UP is to offer the winners comprehensive support with lasting effects. During their stay in Paris, the five young African designers will be invited to take part in masterclasses designed to provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to develop and maintain a fashion brand. 


In addition to these masterclasses, the winners will enjoy a tour of the Parisian and international fashion worlds. They will also have access to business training from the prestigious HEC Paris management school, and will be supported by Balenciaga for 4 months as part of a mentoring program organized with AFUP. Finally, they will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their collection on an international online sales site.




From July 2 to 6, the five winners had the opportunity to take part in the following events: 


Meeting with Anne Caroline and a visit to the Maison Guerlain management team, as well as a tour of 68, Avenue des Champs-Elysées.

Private tour of Galeries Lafayette Haussman, Masterclasses and meeting with the sales team: the Director of Customer Development and Operational Marketing and the International Sales Manager Middle East, Africa & India, the Head of Buying Luxury & Creators PAP Women and the Head of Operational Marketing and Events Haussman. 

Masterclasses with the Balenciaga management team. Visit to Kering headquarters. 

Meeting with the Chanel team and visit to participative embroidery workshops at 19M.

Round table and debate at HEC Paris, organized by members of the HEC International Development Club and HEC Paris.
